Why We Built This Site
Louisiana provides several forms of public access, but no single office holds a complete Vermilion Parish history. VPSO maintains its own reports, current prisoner information, and warrant functions. The Vermilion Parish Clerk of Court keeps filed 15th Judicial District Court charges and dispositions, while Abbeville, Kaplan, and other local custodians retain matters within their jurisdictions. Louisiana State Police administers the statewide criminal-history repository and central registry, and DPS&C supplies state custody and supervision channels. We bring the distinct contacts, official searches, request steps, and published costs together so readers can begin with the record’s actual custodian.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of VPSO, the Vermilion Parish Clerk of Court, a city police department, a Louisiana court, or any state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We do not retrieve criminal records or perform an official check for a visitor.
- We cannot submit a public-record request, expungement motion, or other filing for someone.
- Certified dockets, judgments, reports, and repository responses must come from the government custodian.
- We do not offer legal advice or determine what a charge, outcome, or eligibility rule means in an individual matter.
- Agency hours, fees, addresses, and procedures can change, so current details must be confirmed with the responsible office.
An official copy can be issued only by the office that maintains it, such as VPSO, the appropriate court clerk, or Louisiana State Police. This resource can identify that office, but it cannot authenticate or issue the document.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. They operate independently, establish their own prices, and control their result sets. A paid enrollment reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that helps support free access to this resource. We neither set provider charges nor determine the information their services return.
